• Hello all fellow Santa Fe drivers,

First of all, excuse me for not writing in German, I'm still learning it.

Recently I had an issue with my Hyundai Grand Sante Fe 2017.
SPAS Error was constant for the past few months (it started in January).
As you can see from the photos.
Problem was, when parking, display doesn't show distance, it only beeps and side oncoming radar works fine, indicating oncoming objects.
In a mean time I replaced A/C gas and mechanic recommand me to wash front grill and radiator as I had too many bugs on it. So my A/C will work better.
Once I washed front grill and radiator, SPAS error was gone, parking indicates normally distance during parking.

Question is, could it be that some connectors or cables are loose?

    I don't believe that.
The cause of the error may be that your PDC sensors are oxidized.
These sensors are often rotten under the paint. You can tell when small bubbles have formed.

You can solve it yourself by carefully sanding the sensors, then masking and painting over them. I think you only solved the problem for a short time by washing it.
    ....just my guess.
    Best regards Robbi
